​Cindy Carter-Bedoya

Mrs. Cindy has:

  • an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education,

  • a Bachelors Degree in Psychology,

  • a Masters Degree in Child Development,

  • a certificate in Child Maltreatment and Family Violence Prevention,  

  • a Program Director Permit.

       She is also a Trainer of Trainers for:​

  •  Second Step Curriculum through Committee for Children, and

  • a Lead Teacher Trainer for High Scope Curriculum for Preschool and School aged children.

  • Trainer for the ECE Workforce Registry which provides contracted training to the Resource and Referral Agencies covering all of Los Angeles County.

  • Certified Trainer for the Program for Infant Toddler Caregiving and Beginning Together for Children with Special Needs

  • Trainer for Parent Toolkit- Parent events and trainings.

​She has managed and directed Head Start/Early Head Start/State Preschool and School Aged programs for over 25 years ensuring that staff and managers working with children in State and Federal Programs, private preschools and school Districts are providing a high-quality Child Care and Education program to children.

She is educating children to be Kindergarten ready and to improve future school success for elementary and middle school children and beyond. ​​

​She is a Licensed Child Care Provider in Whittier, Ca. 90604. She has fingerprint and criminal background clearances through Dept of Justice, Dept of Social Services-Community Care Licensing division, child care facility clearances, and Trust Line. 

   She is part of the Quality Start Los Angeles Quality Improvement Rating System since 2017 and a grant recipient of over $24,200.00 that has afforded the staff with stipends to offset costs of college coursework in Child Development, allowed them to attend trainings, and also to improve and enhance the child care program by being able to purchase over 20,200.00 in program materials and learning supplies for the children enrolled in the program, so far to date.

     Mrs. Cindy also serves as a Professional Growth Advisor for early childhood education staff, and is working on becoming a Director Mentor for new managers, Family Child Care staff, and Program Directors. She has completed the Program for Infant Toddler Caregiving Modules 1 thru 5, and is now a certified trainer for the program, including  Beginning Together - the Special Needs and Disabilities Module, covered by PITC fellowship dollars and funding from Quality Start Los Angeles, Quality Rating and Improvement Systems (QRIS) Race To The Top (RTTP) and Child 360 agencies. She recently completed college courses at Sonoma State and Mt. San Jacinto taking online classes in Science, Visual and Performing Arts to enhance activities through Drama, Art, singing and Dance experiences in the program. 

Cindy is also trained and uses the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) assessments for children, Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and ASQ-SE-Social Emotional skills screeners, the Program Administrators Guide Assessment tool (PAS) and the  FCCERS-Family Child Care Environmental Rating Scale. Cindy will discuss your child's progress and results with you during one of two parent conferences scheduled throughout each year.

Ms. Felicia F

Felicia has been an Early Childhood Teacher/Educator for infants, toddlers and preschoolers over 20 years.  She enjoys working with the children in the Whittier child care program, especially in the area of Music and Movement. She enjoys food/cooking experiences as well as daily Language and Literacy activities. She loves working with parents in providing children a Brighter Beginning and preparing children for formal schooling. She is bilingual Spanish/English speaking and has a lot of experience with children and knowledge regarding available resources in the Whittier, La Habra, and La Mirada communities, to help with their education and development. Felicia completed her BA in Child Development at University of La Verne and completed her Masters in June of 2019. She is currently in a Ph.D program with Capella University.  She is cleared through Trustline, CCLD, and Dept of Justice.

Ms. Felicia M

Ms. Felicia has been working with children for over 24 years in a local school district. She helps our children daily with transportation from school and homework help in the afternoons. She is always prepared to start her day with our kids by providing them with a range of fun activities to which the children really engage and enjoy.  She loves art activities and reading daily with the children and especially enjoys long term projects with them. The children really show excitement when she arrives and they look forward to her bringing "fun stuff to do!"
